Description
BOURGOGNE PINOT NOIR
APPELLATION CHOREY-LÈS-BEAUNE PROTÉGÉE
Made just from several parcels selected throughout Burgundy, Bourgogne Rouge Decelle & Fils is essentially composed of vineyard pockets located in small villages such as Mercurey, Chorey, Ladoix-Serrigny or Savigny.
TERROIR
The feature shared by these parcels is the limestone parent rock located within the entire Côte des Vins area. The continental Burgundy climate, alternating harsh winter conditions and hot summers, allows the Pinot Noir variety to fully reveal its true personality.
WINEMAKING & MATURING
The harvest is handpicked and vinified according to the techniques used to make our other great wines, including careful grape-sorting on a table, 100% de-stemming and a long 3-week vatting period.
After being gently pressed, the wine is then transported to the cellar where it is matured in oak vats for about a year.
TASTING NOTES
This offering is a deep red color with shiny attractive tints. It exhales generous red berry and morello cherry aromas, joined by spicy notes that gradually come to the fore as Bourgogne Decelle & Fils opens up.
